Kimberly's Bio:
Kimberly Hilliard is a native of Louisiana and attended NOCCA/Riverfront. She holds a bachelor of music degree from Southeastern Louisiana University with concentration in vocal and piano performance from the voice studios of Scharmal Schrock Dr. David Bernard and piano studios of Dr. Kenneth O. Boulton and Dr. David Evenson, She also holds a master of music in choral conducting from Louisiana State University where she studied under the direction Dr. Kenneth Fulton. While at Southeastern Louisiana University, she received the Tobin Award from the New Orleans Junior Philharmonic Society Performance Series for her performance of Samuel Barber's Ballade, Op.46. While earning her degrees, Kimberly was a regular accompanist for voice students and voice classes at SLU and for the LSU Chamber choirs.
A soprano, Kimberly was frequent soloist for the Southeastern Louisiana University’s University Chorus, LSU’s graduate choral recitals and the elite A Cappella Choir. Some of her operatic roles include Cecily in La Divina and Marcellina in
Le Nozze di Figaro. She was a featured soloist in Rome, Italy for Z. Randall Stroope on his 2015 Festival Corale Internazionale di Roma- singing the Kyrie from Franz Schubert’s Mass No.2 in G Major D.167. She was music director for three of Jefferson Performing Arts Intensive Summer Theater Camps. Kimberly has been a choir director, teaching in Louisiana for six years and has over ten years experience in church choir directing and accompanying.
Kimberly is the Music Director St. Elizabeth and St. Jules parishes, she has had the pleasure of being an active, performing member with B.R.E.V.E. (Baton Rouge Early Vocal Ensemble) since the Fall of 2014. Kimberly offers private instruction for classical voice and piano in the Baton Rouge Area.
